1. GALAXY TAB S3
Samsung now has a 2-in-1 tablet that might tempt you to leave your laptop at home. The Tab S3 has a 9.7" HDR Super AMOLED screen; a responsive S pen with greater pressure sensitivity than any of your ballpoints; an auxiliary keyboard that pairs automatically, immediately, and without the need to be charged; and a fast-charging battery that will probably outlast your workday with its 12-hour capacity. The screen has a resolution of 2,048 × 1,536, and the quad sound is generated by four AKG Harman speakers placed at all corners of the tablet. The Tab S3 has Samsung Flow to connect to your Galaxy smartphone, enabling calls, file sharing, and notifications at a touch. The 32GB of built-in memory can be bumped up to almost 300GB by slipping an extra 256GB Micro SD card in the card slot (RAM is 4GB). The processor is a quad-core 2.2 Ghz running Android 7.0 Nougat. The front-facing camera is 13MP with a flash, and the rear is 5MP. Without the keyboard case, the tablet weighs only 0.95 lbs., and the overall size is 9.34" × 6.65" × 0.24". The Samsung DeX looks like a charging cradle, but if you have a Galaxy S8 or S8+, it will connect your smartphone to an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse. When connected, the station launches a DeX mode on the monitor, and phone applications can be opened to work on the large screen. While it’s connected, your smartphone is charging and cooled with the built-in fan. Among the apps you can run in the DeX mode are Microsoft Word, Excel, OneDrive, Skype, Acrobat Reader, Photoshop Express, YouTube, Gmail, and others. 4. GIDEON DAGAN CALENDAR
From the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) collection, the Gideon Dagan Perpetual Calendar is a unique design that visually combines both the linear and cyclical nature of our traditional calendars. The time markers are magnets. You move the date ball one space each day, and the month marker is a maglev (suspended in air only by magnetism). It stops in place as you move it to each month.
