This newly published Framework includes modifications made after reviewing all the feedback received after an exposure draft was released last year for public comment. The Framework and associated materials are presented as guidance for skills assessment, career development, and talent management within the profession. Included with the Framework is a new chart that maps the competencies in the Framework to the topics and subjects that will be covered in the CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) exam beginning in 2020. There’s also a list of educational resources and thought leadership for each domain.
The Framework is available at www.imanet.org/framework, and an article in the upcoming March 2019 Strategic Finance will go into greater detail about the updates.
